Ron Johnson to Address Largest Crowd in 10 Years at Dane County Lincoln Reagan Day Dinner

More than 200 expected at Saturday event as Ron and U.S. Reps. Sean Duffy and Adam Kinzinger discuss stakes of 2016 election

Ron Johnson will address the largest crowd of grassroots supporters to turn out for the Dane County Lincoln Reagan Day Dinner in at least 10 years as Wisconsin Republicans ramp up their nationally recognized voter turnout operation to elect independent, conservative leadership in 2016.

“The stakes are high in this election, and I’m waging a true grassroots campaign while working to empower Wisconsinites – not big government – and keep our country safe,” Ron Johnson said. “The grassroots ground effort in Wisconsin, exemplified by the many supporters from cities and rural areas alike in Dane County, is the most powerful weapon we have to elect a Republican president and make sure there’s a Republican majority in the House and Senate to help solve the problems facing our nation.”

  • Tonight’s dinner, which begins at 6 p.m. at the Monona Terrace and will also feature U.S. Reps. Sean Duffy, R-Wis. and Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill. and others, is expected to draw more than 200 supporters from across Dane County, according to organizers with the Republican Party of Dane County. That’s the highest turnout in at least 10 years – and double the average attendance in that same time period – as Wisconsin voters prepare to cast their ballots for president, U.S. Senate and other races this fall.
  • Ron has assembled grassroots leadership in each of Wisconsin’s 72 counties with his “county coordinators” program, an effort designed to complement the nationally recognized voter turnout operation the Republican Party of Wisconsin, local county parties, and others have built to elect Governor Scott Walker three times, consistently win swing congressional districts in Wisconsin, and create large majorities in the state legislature.
