Oshkosh, WI – Senator Ron Johnson (WI) today released the following statement regarding Governor Tommy Thompson win in the Wisconsin U.S. Senate Republican Primary.
“Congratulations to Tommy Thompson on a hard won victory in Wisconsin’s U.S. Senate Republican Primary. I would also like to thank and congratulate all the Republican Senate candidates for their willingness to serve America during a crucial period in our nation’s history. Tommy will be a terrific candidate in the General Election. I’ll work hard to help elect Tommy, and encourage all Republicans, Democrats and Independents to come together to support the Thompson campaign.
Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin has a long record of enthusiastically promoting the kind of bigger, more expensive government in Washington that is harming our economy and costing us jobs. She is a strong supporter for the complete government takeover of American’s health care and is way out of step with Wisconsin voters. Congresswoman Baldwin is part of the problem with Washington.
