Ron’s New Ad: “Future”
Senator Feingold thinks Washington can borrow, tax and spend our way to prosperity. I believe that is absolutely wrong and hurts our economy.

calendarOshkosh, WI…Oshkosh manufacturer and U.S. Senate candidate Ron Johnson speaks of securing America’s economic future in his latest campaign spot. The ad, which will air statewide leading up to Election Day, features Johnson candidly discussing his fight to put our nation’s financial house in order to secure our future and create jobs.
“Wisconsinites have gotten to know Ron Johnson as he’s travelled across the state for the past six months, and they’ve embraced his message of fiscal discipline and job creation in order to bring America back,” according to Sara Sendek, spokeswoman for Ron Johnson for Senate. “Johnson will continue to travel the state talking and listening to the voters who are every bit as concerned about our country’s future as he is through Election Day.”

DISC: I’m Ron Johnson. I approved this message.
RON: “I love Wisconsin. And I love America. And so does Russ Feingold.
But there is a big difference.
Senator Feingold thinks Washington can borrow, tax and spend our way to prosperity.
I believe that is absolutely wrong and hurts our economy.
We need to bring common sense to Washington.
Put our nation’s financial house in order to secure our future and create jobs.
I’m Ron Johnson, I thank you for your consideration and ask for your support and I approve this message.”
calendarOshkosh, WI…According to a Politico story out today, “Feingold has been one of the most aggressive supporters of the health care overhaul on the campaign trail…” (Politico, 2010 Races We’re Watching, 10/29/2010)
That simple fact explains why Russ Feingold has gotten an icy reception in Wisconsin. Feingold’s constituents told him before he voted, and they’ll tell him again on November 2nd, that Wisconsinites don’t want the costly and complex health care overreach that the Obama-Reid-Pelosi leadership forced on the American people.
By a margin of 55% to 37%, Wisconsinites opposed the Obama health care plan in March 2010, before Feingold voted for the bill. According to a Rasmussen Reports survey this October, a majority of Wisconsin residents favor repeal of the health care bill.
In addition to increasing the deficit, raising taxes, and cutting Medicare, a recent report found Senator Feingold’s health care bill could cost Americans close to a million jobs.
“Feingold didn’t listen to Wisconsinites when he voted for the health care bill. Now Feingold’s ignoring their calls to get it right and stop the job losses. It’s no wonder that after 18 years people are looking for somebody new that represents their values,” according to Sara Sendek, spokeswoman for Ron Johnson for Senate. “On November 2nd, voters are preparing to send a citizen legislator to stop the Obama-Reid-Pelosi job-killing, big-spending agenda in its tracks.”
