Ron’s New Ad: Step Up

Posted October 12, 2010

Oshkosh manufacturer and U.S. Senate Candidate Ron Johnson’s campaign launched a new television ad today, titled “Step Up.”  The ad, which began running statewide today, features Johnson discussing the reasons he decided to get involved in this election.

“Over time, I have watched our nation go deeper and deeper into debt and seen that some of the politicians who were elected to represent us have only been part of the problem,” U.S. Senate Candidate Ron Johnson said.  “There is too much at stake and we need real leadership to move country in the right direction.  I am running for Senate in order to be part of the solution.  If elected I will go to Washington and work hard every day to represent the interests of all Wisconsinites.”

“Step Up”

RON:   I work hard and I make a good living…have a great family…and I’ve been blessed in an awful lot of ways…

But I kept watching what was going on in Washington…what they are doing to our economy…people losing jobs and their homes…while politicians put us in more debt.

I had to make a choice, let it be somebody else’s problem - or get off my rear end and do something about it.

So…I’m Ron Johnson, I’m running for Senate, and I approved this message.

Wisconsin’s Russ Feingold Fights for his Political Life

Posted October 12, 2010

October 12, 2010

In an ordinary mid-term election, in a usually progressive state like Wisconsin, in a race against an untested opponent, Sen. Russ Feingold should be sitting pretty.

But this is an extraordinary year–a year when Washington experience is an electoral cross to bear and in which “throw the bums out” seems to be the rallying cry.

It’s an atmosphere that gives rise to candidates such as Ron Johnson, whose penetrating blue eyes and earnest demeanor are appealing to more and more Wisconsinites.

Statement On Johnson Feingold Debate

Posted October 12, 2010

Oshkosh, WI… Tonight, Oshkosh Manufacturer and Senate Candidate Ron Johnson showed the voters of Wisconsin an honest candidate who is prepared to step up and help put our country on the right path forward.

Wisconsinites are tired of the same old politics as usual that we saw from Senator Russ Feingold in these debates.  While Senator Feingold has proven himself ever the slick politician, in his 18-years in Washington, he has produced few results to match his rhetoric.  Senator Feingold tells the voters of Wisconsin that he is an independent and a maverick, but Wisconsin could have used a real maverick when he cast the deciding vote on the stimulus and health care legislation.  Senator Feingold has been part of the problem in Washington and Wisconsin voters know that the people who got us into this mess are not going to get us out.

Tonight Ron Johnson showed us that he is the kind of candidate who will take his experience growing a business and creating jobs and apply it to the problems from Washington.  Ron Johnson showed the voters of Wisconsin that he will bring common sense solutions to our government and he will cut spending and create jobs.  Voters of Wisconsin saw a refreshing candidate who is ready to stand up for his country and fight and tonight they saw Ron Johnson as the right leader to help turn our country around.
