So This Is What Feingold Really Thinks About His Constituents…

[Oshkosh, WI]  During a recent interview with the New York Times, Senator Feingold berated and dismissed concerned Wisconsin citizens who attend his town hall tours, saying “I had people showing up at my town meeting with hats on, with tea bags coming out.”

“It’s no surprise that a career politician like Russ Feingold has grown out of touch with his constituents, but it is appalling that he would so openly mock them in front of a national audience,” Sara Sendek, Ron Johnson for Senate campaign spokeswoman said.   “When citizens went to Senator Feingold with their concerns over the massive spending in Washington, he easily dismissed them and now criticizes them in the media.  Wisconsin is still facing high unemployment and a poor economy and Senator Feingold still will not acknowledge voters’ concerns.  This November, voters will have a chance to show Senator Feingold the same courtesy and dismiss him.”
