Johnson To Seek Blind Trust for Holdings

Posted July 9, 2010
[Oshkosh, WI] Today Oshkosh manufacturer and US Senate Candidate Ron Johnson submitted personal financial disclosure documents due July 17, 2010 in accordance with rules of the United State Senate and indicated he is taking steps to move financial assets to a blind trust in order to avoid any potential conflicts of interest in the Senate. Democratic Senator Herb Kohl and many other politicians also place assets in a blind trust.

A “blind trust” is a trust in which the executors have full discretion over the assets, and the trust beneficiaries have no knowledge of the holdings of the trust.

“As Ron looks for a firm to manage his assets in a blind trust, his financial disclosure documents have been submitted for full public review,” said Juston Johnson, Campaign Manager for Ron Johnson for Senate.
Many of Johnson’s holdings can also be found in the Wisconsin Retirement Fund, which holds incumbent Russ Feingold’s retirement savings.

Johnson, 55, owns PACUR LLC and is an accountant.  PACUR is an Oshkosh-based manufacturing facility that specializes in a variety of plastics manufacturing for medical, commercial and industrial purposes.
